It's a known fact that men orgasm more than women. According to one study, published in Cosmo, 57% of heterosexual women claim to reach orgasm most or every time they have sex while 95% of those same women say their male partner reach orgasm nearly 100% of the time.
Unfortunately, I'm not kidding. Are men lazy? Are they selfish? Are they too stupid to figure out how to make a woman cum?! I'm guessing it's a combination of the three. To all those with a dick, DO BETTER. Now, moving onto the topic of discussion: Why are men turned on when you orgasm?
The folks over at The Journal of Sex Research (yes this publication exists), conducted a study in which they "randomly assigned 810 men (M age = 25.44, SD = 8.31) to read a vignette where they imagined that an attractive woman either did or did not orgasm during a sexual encounter with them.
Participants then rated their sexual esteem and the extent to which they would feel masculine after experiencing the given situation. Basically, the point of the study was to figure out the answer to the elusive question: Why are men turned on by the female orgasm?
Here's what the results said:
"Our results showed that men felt more masculine and reported higher sexual esteem when they imagined that a woman orgasmed during sexual encounters with them, and that this effect was exacerbated for men with high masculine gender role stress. These results suggest that women’s orgasms do function—at least in part—as a masculinity achievement for men."
Translation: Men like it when women cum because it makes them feel more masculine. It makes them feel better about their own freakin' sexual performance.
I'm not saying you can't feel good about your sexual performance. Sexual confidence is so important. HOWEVER, this is just another example of men taking something that doesn't belong to them, for themselves. A woman's orgasm is her orgasm. Yes, the dude may have caused it. But he does not own said orgasm.
The problem is further exacerbated when women feel they must fake an orgasm just to make a man feel comfortable in his own masculinity. THIS IS BULLSHIT. Seriously guys?! Are you that insecure? The answer is probably "yes."
