Some things are just too good to be true. When a crazy theory claiming that Tarzan and the Frozen sisters were related hit Tumblr several years ago, most Disney fans just dismissed it for that exact reason. Why would a film about gorillas released in 1999 be connected to a film about an ice queen released in 2013?
However, some fans LIVE for these theories. There's even a theory that claims every Pixar film is somehow connected which makes sense if you look for all the easter eggs!
But now, the whole Frozen/Tarzan theory has some validity to it, considering Frozen director, Chris Buck, just confirmed the theory to be true.
MIND = BLOWN.
He told MTV, "I think Jen and I were walking to a meeting, and I just started to tell her the entire story. I said, ‘Of course Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die. Yes, there was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant, and she gave birth on the boat, to a little boy. They get shipwrecked, and somehow they really washed way far away from the Scandinavian waters, and they end up in the jungle. They end up building a tree house and a leopard kills them, so their baby boy is raised by gorillas.’"
Sounds pretty convincing, right? You've gotta admit...Anna & Elsa's parents do look like Tarzan's parents:
Still...some people aren't buying it. After all, the Frozen director isn't in charge of the entire Disney universe. He never got an official "thumbs up" from the Tarzan team, either. Several fans pointed out the flaws in Buck's claims:
The plot thickens. Do you consider this theory to be canon? Or are you just going to let it go?
