Aaron Carter is all grown up and working hard to turn his life around. The former child performer hit a rough patch starting in the mid 2000s when he filed for bankruptcy, became addicted to pain killers, and had run-ins with the law.
In a recent interview with US Weekly, Carter revealed that he didn't think that he would live to see 30, but now that he has, he wants to change his life and become a dad. "I turned 30 and I’m like, ‘Alright, my resolution is to have a kid.’ But not just a kid. A beautiful woman or man, because we can have kids too."
Both Aaron and his brother Nick Carter have longstanding issues with their parents, and it turns out their relationship with each other isn't that strong, either. In another segment of the interview, Aaron spoke about his "punk" brother reaching out to him via Twitter to offer help, but said that his brother never contacted him directly.
"If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum?" he said. "How about all of the other options he had [to reach out]? How about calling me in jail? I don’t need Nick’s help. I don’t need that. I don’t need help. What I need is for people to understand that I’m human and I make mistakes just like every other human in this world."
Nick Carter welcomed his first child to the world in 2016, but it sounds like Aaron Carter won't get much daddy practice with his nephew Odin Reign. Hopefully his journey to get his life in order goes well and that he achieves his goal when he is actually ready.
