Bella Thorne gave us all a lesson in Bad Tweeting 101 this week when she took to the social media platform to complain about road closures caused by the deadly mudslides in Santa Barbara, California.
"F*ck u 101 to santa barbra. I'm missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:(((" the 20-year-old actress had tweeted (then deleted) Wednesday.
The backlash was fierce, to say the least:
As TMZ pointed out, actor and Santa Barbara resident Robe Lowe wasn't too happy about Thorne's tweet, either: He took to Instagram to criticize her Thursday, posting a screenshot of her tweet with a scathing caption.
"This attitude is why people hate celebrities / Hollywood," Lowe wrote. "Bella, I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker."
Thorne's boyfriend, rapper Mod Sun, later defended her and clapped back at Lowe on via Instagram Stories: "I thought you was cool, man!" he told the 53-year-old actor.
Thorne eventually clarified her remarks with another tweet, saying she wasn't aware of the mudslides when she complained about the road closures:
Your move, Rob.
