After a long (and warranted for) wait, we have finally been blessed with another all-inclusive and cruelty-free makeup line, Rihanna's Fenty Beauty. The highly-anticipated beauty range features an impressive selection of 40 different foundation shades (yes, you read that right), all specifically created to address the need for diversity in the beauty world.

Unlike most celebrity beauty brands that tease their products via well-calculated marketing tactics and social media campaigns, RiRi gave fans an exclusive scoop on her beauty line in a more intimate manner: Instagram DMs.

After dropping surprise teasers of Fenty Beauty on multiple platforms, a rumor that it was going to debut 40 foundation shades immediately followed. A fan account excitedly messaged Rihanna on Instagram to confirm the news, and the celebrity happily responded!

"40 shades for Pro Filt'r? You're really committed to OUR diversity with this line aren't you?," Twitter user @DaniqueRebelle said in an Instagram conversation with RiRi herself.

“You knooowwww it! Gotta represent for my girls and we come in all shades! Especially my brown sisters…been left out too many times in the makeup world," the pop star-turned beauty maven replied.

As exhibited in the Fenty Beauty advertisements, Rihanna is determined to create a beauty line that celebrates diversity.

In an interview during the launch event, she explained that she "wanted things that girls of all skin tones could fall in love with," hence the broad range of foundation shades. "There’s so many different shades - there’s red undertones, there’s green undertones, there’s blue undertones, there’s pink undertones. You want people to appreciate the product and not feel like, 'Oh that’s cute, but it only looks good on her.'"

Foundation isn't the only thing Fenty Beauty has debuted. The brand also features a primer, Match Stix (a multipurpose makeup stick designed to conceal, correct, contour, and touch up), highlighter sticks and powders, a universal lip gloss, blotting powder and paper, and various beauty tools like sponges and brushes. All these, of course, have different selections that can complement various skin tones, so there is definitely something for everyone.

The entire collection is now available on Fenty Beauty, Sephora (in-store and online), and Harvey Nichols. Happy shopping!
